Show Notes
Welcome to the Somerset Emotional Wellbeing (SEW) podcast!
In this episode, Yeovil Rivers Community Trust, our hosts Dr. Peter Bagshaw and Dr. Andrew Tresidder are joined by Lorna Mann and Karis Hockey from Yeovil Rivers Community Trust to discuss what their organisation does to restore and promote local waterways, why volunteering in, or engaging with, natural blue spaces can help maintain your mental health and boost your wellbeing and how you can get involved in the work that they do on behalf of our communities and environment.
The SEW podcast was a free weekly show hosted by Dr. Andrew Tresidder, Dr. Peter Bagshaw and Dr. Kate Staveley; after this episode, it has now become the Health and Self Care podcast. In each episode, the doctors discuss a different topic related to mental and emotional wellbeing and often invite expert guests to join them in conversation. The show is aimed at the people of Somerset and beyond; the advice and guidance provided should apply to anybody who needs it, whenever they need it.
All episodes of the podcast are now available to listen to free through Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Deezer, Google Podcasts, Amazon Podcasts etc. Please stay subscribed to the podcast to receive the new Health and Self Care podcast wherever you get your podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts!

Yeovil Rivers Community Trust - Yeovil Rivers Community Trust (YRCT) was formed in 2018 with the aim of restoring, enhancing and creating all types of natural aquatic habitats such as ponds, streams, rivers and wetlands in Yeovil and the wider landscape in Somerset and Dorset. While our focus is on aquatic habitats, we incorporate actions to enhance and protect the environment generally by including terrestrial interventions such as tree and hedge planting, wildflower meadow establishment and habitat creation for insects and other animals wherever possible.
