Show Notes

Welcome to the Somerset Emotional Wellbeing (SEW) podcast!

In this episode, Somerset Emotional Wellbeing, our host Dr. Andrew Tresidder is joined by David Sealey, Commissioning Manager for Adult Mental Health and Dementia Services from Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group to discuss the Somerset Emotional Wellbeing Colleague Resilience Hub (Please note, as of the 1st of April 2024, this website and service no longer exists).

During the conversation, they discuss how health and care staff and volunteers across Somerset could have accessed the Somerset Emotional Wellbeing website to find useful mental health and wellbeing support, why it is important that we all know how to access help when we need it and what else the Resilience Hub offered health and care staff and volunteers beyond the website.

David is also the creator/producer of the SEW podcast so they also shed light on the history of the show and lift the curtain to show you behind the scenes of the podcast.

The SEW podcast was a free weekly show hosted by Dr. Andrew TresidderDr. Peter Bagshaw and Dr. Kate Staveley; after this episode, it has now become the Health and Self Care podcast. In each episode, the doctors discuss a different topic related to mental and emotional wellbeing and often invite expert guests to join them in conversation. The show is aimed at the people of Somerset and beyond; the advice and guidance provided should apply to anybody who needs it, whenever they need it.
